Aaron Kwok Finds Happiness In Women’s Kingdom

Aaron Kwok Finds Happiness In Women’s Kingdom

Aaron Kwok (郭富城) is once again leading the Lunar New Year movie marathons with his new film The Monkey King 3 <西遊記·女兒國>, which premiered on the new year. The film, which also stars William Feng (馮紹峰), Zanilia Zhao (趙麗穎), Xiaoshenyang (小瀋陽), and Him Law (羅仲謙), is a based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West <西遊記>, and follows Sun Wukong and his journey into the Women’s Kingdom.

This is Aaron’s second time portraying the iconic Sun Wukong. To go days on end wearing heavy makeup was not easy for the actor-singer, but upon receiving the script of The Monkey King 3, Aaron decided to go for it again, perhaps one last time.

“It’s been two years since I did the last one,” he said. “When I got the script [of The Monkey King 3], I saw that there was something very different here compared to the last one. To be able to portray a complicated character like Sun Wukong, and not just his playful side, definitely benefits me as an actor. You would want to do a role that helps you develop.”

Asking if he would like to play Sun Wukong for another sequel, he said, “Just the makeup itself took five hours, every single day. So when you’re sweating, you can’t wipe it off. It would give you this feeling of dread. After two years, I forgot about it, but on the first day on set for this film, that feeling came back to me. But it’s too late to take it back. I already agreed to do the role, and I received a lot of encouragement from my agency. The director is also very understanding. That pain is hard to deal with.”

Superstars like Stephen Chow (周星馳) and Donnie Yen (甄子丹) have took on the role of Sun Wukong before, and when asked if he was worried about viewers comparing him to them, he said, “That is something I won’t be able to prevent, but I’m not worried. I’m very confident with my own performance. (In your opinion, what qualities do you have that makes your performance stand out over theirs?) Sun Wukong is a very flexible fighter, and I come from a dancing background. I think that helped me deal with a lot of the character’s body language. It’s my style. (Who is the most handsome Sun Wukong?) I don’t want to rate that. (Maybe you?) Not worthy to be!”

After a whirlwind promotional tour to promote the film in Mainland China, Aaron’s last stop was Hong Kong, where he also spent the New Year’s. Now a new father, Aaron was asked about how he dealt with his new identity.

In bright smiles, Aaron said, “I’m still serious about my career and when I go home, I get to take care of my family. I think this moment is the most important. (What will you be doing differently this New Year holiday?) Taking care of my daughter! It’s the happiest time now. I get to focus on my career and also have a happy family. This is something I never got to experience before.”

Aaron is currently preparing for his upcoming film, which will be shot in New York. He shared, “There’s going to be a lot of preparation for it. I’ll be speaking some English.” Asking if he’ll decrease his workload for his family, he said, “Not necessarily. Because now I have a family, I have to work even harder for them.”

At the end of the year, Aaron will be holding a 50-date concert tour, with the last performance in Hong Kong. He promised fans that he’ll be in his fittest shape for the concert.

Aaron Kwok Spoils Wife, Moka Fang with 13 Pairs of Shoes on Shopping Trip

Aaron Kwok Spoils Wife, Moka Fang with 13 Pairs of Shoes on Shopping Trip

There are a handful of celebrity husbands that are known to be model husbands. They often dote and spoil their wives and children. Some of the unanimously agreed-upon husbands include Moses Chan (陳豪), Raymond Wong (黃浩然), and Jay Chou (周杰伦).

Who would have known that Aaron Kwok (郭富城) would make it on this list? After marrying Moka Fang (方媛) in April 2017, Aaron did not slow down his work output and continued traveling often for work. However, the birth of the couple’s daughter last September seemed to have finally shifted the 52-year-old’s priority to family life. Notorious for being a workaholic and social butterfly, Aaron has reduced his workload and rejected invitations to social gatherings. Instead, he is often at home spending time with his wife and daughter.

Recently, Aaron was spotted leaving the couple’s love nest alone. After visiting the doctor, Aaron met up with Moka at the hair salon. Seeing that she was still not done with her appointment, Aaron took a seat and waited for nearly three hours for Moka to finish. Though Aaron was obviously sick, he still chose to accompany his wife shopping instead of going home to rest. The couple went into many brand name stores, but mainly window shopped and did not make any purchases until the end of the day. During their visit to a shoe store, Aaron spoiled his wife with thirteen pairs of shoes and bought himself five as well.

With his wife by his side, Aaron was in an obvious good mood and was not resistant to reporters’ questions. When asked whether he will accompany his wife to his in-laws’ house for Chinese New Year, Aaron said, “We will be staying in Hong Kong for the New Year.”

Aaron Kwok Talks About His 3 Month Old Daughter

Aaron Kwok Talks About His 3 Month Old Daughter

Last week, Aaron Kwok (郭富城) attended a press conference for his new haircare and treatment brand AKFS Plus. Aaron is both the brand’s creator and endorser, and was involved in all aspects of the product’s creation. He hopes to expand his interests beyond the entertainment industry; if the brand is lucky enough to be a continuous success, he wants his daughter, Chant, to manage it in the future. “But I must work harder and do well as the father,” he said.

Aaron was all smiles at the mention of his three-month-old daughter, Chant. Earlier, a picture of the baby girl was shared online, but her face was censored for privacy. Chant acknowledges that his daughter has a pair of large eyes, saying, “She’s so cute! She’s already three months old, so she’s already starting to learn how to have conversations with her parents and grandparents. She knows how to call her mother already. I’ve been so busy with filming. I can’t believe she’s growing so fast, and already starting to speak. It’s a happy thing.”

Tony Leung joins Aaron Kwok in Theory of Ambitions

Is it just me, or does he look like older Tony Leung Ka-fai here?

Theory of Ambitions 风再起时 (lit. When the Wind Blows Again) is the latest project from Phillip Yung, the writer-director behind acclaimed 2015 crime thriller Port of Call 踏雪寻梅.

The film is based on the true story of the ‘Four Great Sergeants’, a title that refers to Hong Kong’s most corrupt police officers in the 1960s. Aaron Kwok (Eternal Wave) plays Lv Le (Lui Lok), the most well-known of the four, who becomes a wanted man after the establishment of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) in 1974.

The other three officers will be played Tony Leung (See You Tomorrow)Patrick Tam (Dealer Healer) and Michael Chow (Fate Fighter). Filming began a couple of weeks ago, so it’ll probably be released some time in 2019.

Moka Fang Makes First Post-Pregnancy Appearance

Moka Fang Makes First Post-Pregnancy Appearance

Moka Fang (方媛) has made her first post-pregnancy appearance! On October 13, Moka and her husband Aaron Kwok (郭富城) attended a Buddhist rite hosted by the Sakya Trizin to receive blessings for their daughter. Although it’s only been a month since her pregnancy, Moka is looking fresh and already back in shape!

In early September, Moka and Aaron quietly welcomed their daughter in Hong Kong. Aaron spoke up about his daughter for the first time in late September, when he called his daughter “a mini Aaron Kwok.” At the time, the 51-year-old Hong Kong singer-actor said becoming a father was a “magically feeling”, and that his daughter has changed the world for him.

The couple made their appearance wearing matching blacks to keep a low profile. Other celebrities who attended the rite include Anita Yuen (袁詠議) and Chingmy Yau (邱淑貞), both devout Buddhists.

In addition to the rite, Aaron and Moka also met with the Sakya Trizin privately and snapped ap photo with the Buddhist leader.

Aaron Kwok Finally Talks About His Daughter: “The World’s Different Now”

Aaron Kwok Finally Talks About His Daughter: “The World’s Different Now”

Film King Aaron Kwok (郭晉安) has been through his fair share of adrenaline-inducing action scenes like car races and gun battles, but none of that ever came close to the day he had to cut his daughter’s umbilical cord.

“When she was born, I felt like the world has changed,” said Aaron. “My wife carried her for a difficult ten months, and when she was born, I felt so touched. My hands were shaking when I was cutting her umbilical cord.”

Aaron said his mother was probably the happiest one out of all of them. “It was touching. I’ve been so focused with my work, and although I would always spend time with my mother, seeing my mother hold her grandchild for the first time is indescribable. It really is something else.”

Asking Aaron to describe his daughter, he said, “She’s like a little princess! (Who does she look like more?) She’s like a mini Aaron Kwok!”

51-year-old Aaron married 29-year-old Moka Fang (方媛) in April of this year. Though rumors said Aaron’s daughter was born on September 1, Aaron didn’t confirm the birth until September 22, when he shared a picture of his daughter holding her parents’ fingers. Aaron said his little princess was born naturally, and weighed six pounds.

“Becoming a father is such a magical feeling,” said Aaron. “I want to do well as a father, do well for my family. I hope I can balance both family and work in the future. (Does your daughter have a name yet?) I want the elders from my mother’s side to pick a name. We’re just calling her BB for now. (Will you hold a hundred-days banquet?) Not necessarily. Maybe we’ll just have a family dinner.”

Aaron shared that his daughter’s birth was the happiest moment of his life. The actor-singer has been taking videos and pictures of his daughter every day to document her growth, but he will not share the details of them online.

“I’ve been staying home all day now,” said Aaron. “My friends won’t be able to find me. I would usually spend a night with some friends, but now that my daughter’s here, I go straight home after work.”

Many of Aaron’s friends have been calling to meet him and the baby, but Aaron said they’re going to have to wait. “She’s still too small and young, but I’m planning to meet everyone once Lunar New Year comes around. She will also be bigger then.”
